Julie Momchilov Johnson

I founded JMJ Studios in 2012 with a simple belief: the best homes are thoughtfully designed around the people who live in them. With more than 32 years of experience, I specialize in residential remodels, additions, ADUs, and custom homes throughout Marin County and the San Francisco Bay Area. I enjoy solving complex design challenges through thoughtful space planning, meticulous detailing, and timeless, livable design.

Before founding JMJ Studios, I worked on a variety of local institutional projects, including the California Academy of Sciences. Beyond my practice, I've served on the Kentfield Planning & Architecture Board, chaired the Kent Woodlands Architectural Committee, and founded Carbon Neutral Kent Woodlands.

Today, JMJ Studios is a boutique architecture and interiors practice serving Marin County and the San Francisco Bay Area. Together with my team, we focus on thoughtful residential remodels, additions, ADUs, and custom homes, guiding clients from design concepts through construction.

 

When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me hiking Marin's trails, spending time with my family, or traveling in search of inspiration.
