Larkspur Residence (unfinished work)
Nestled peacefully in Larkspur, the Hillside Residence was meticulously designed in 2019, reflecting a thoughtful integration of modern elements into a traditional framework, ensuring the family enjoys a comfortable and serene living space
The home design features a new garage, a 1,000 SF addition and full interior renovation, whose transformation can accommodate the growing needs of the homeowner. A complete front façade remodel created a whole new look for the original Larkspur home, increasing curb-appeal, and providing visual cohesion for the project. The main project goals were to renovate the main living areas, creating enhanced flow, and thoughtful indoor/outdoor living space. Small children’s bedrooms were reconfigured to include en-suite bathrooms and improved flow. A new interconnecting garage, allows homeowner’s a seamless transition from car to kitchen, and further transforms the home’s architecture to one of grandeur and cohesion.
The exterior of the residence features a Hampton’s inspired aesthetic with a modern twist, including darkened cedar with steel window and Tesla roof tiles. Environmental consciousness guided the selection of materials and energy-efficient systems to reduce the residence’s environmental impact. Thoughtful placement of doors, windows and skylights allows for ample natural light, contributing to energy conservation and easy access to the outdoors.
