Wen began her architectural education at Tongji University in Shanghai, specializing in Historic Preservation. Wen was admitted first in class and received a scholarship awarded to the top 1% of her class. She later moved to Honolulu, and received her doctorate degree under Professor Spencer Leineweber, who helped broaden her interest in historic preservation. She received the Excellence in Design Award in 2015, for her design of a city complex on the north shore of the Suzhou River. Wen has worked on a range of architectural projects including: multi-family residences, shopping malls and school campuses. She worked for ZGF in Portland before joining JMJ Studios in 2016.

A native of California, Michelle first earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She went on to receive her graduate certificate in Interior Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated magna cum laude. Michelle’s passion for architecture and interior design can be seen in her breadth of experience in the field. She has worked on many high profile corporate interior design projects including some of the most prestigious technology companies in the Bay Area including Apple, SAP and Oracle. Michelle has also worked on several high-end residential projects and participated in the 2010 San Francisco Decorators Showcase. She has continually delivered creative solutions to her clients that enhance the functionality of their environment, exceed their aesthetic goals and respect their commitment to sustainability. Michelle is known among her peers as having an eye for design, color and form, and brings a unique, fresh perspective to her design work.
